Transportation in the Classroom:
K-12 STEM Teacher National Workshop
Workshop Registration Available at: K-12 STEM Teacher National Workshop - ONLINE APPLICATION
The 2016 UTCRS K-12 STEM Teacher National Workshop is an excellent opportunity for K-12 Educators, STEM Learning Coordinators, CTE Directors, Transportation and Railway Safety Educators, and Summer Camp Coordinators to learn how to incorporate Transportation Engineering in the classroom as a way to deliver STEM concepts to students of all grade levels.
During the two-day workshop, participants will be introduced to Railway Safety STEM - Elementary, Middle School, and High School curricula developed by UTCRS faculty and staff. Participants will learn to implement all the UTCRS curricula activities through hands-on training using Magnetic Levitation (MagLev) Kits and LEGO Mindstorms Robotics kits. Our goal is to provide participants with hands-on experience, grade appropriate UTCRS curriculum and preparation to develop their own unique challenges for use within their classrooms, day-camps, and summer camps.
